Step into the intersection of Jungian psychology, neuroscience, and art with Michelle Gray, PhD.
This in-person workshop explores the relationship between brain function and development, neuroplasticity, and Jungian shadow, with particular attention to how inner strengths can also generate shadow aspects when they operate unconsciously.
Michelle Gray, PhD will present key concepts from neuroscience and depth psychology, then guide participants through Creative Depth methods that translate theory into lived experience. The program may include a brief self-report focused on individual strengths, followed by experiential exploration of the shadow that can emerge from those strengths when they become rigid, overused, or unexamined.
Through reflective dialogue, guided imagery, and creative process, participants will have the opportunity to increase awareness of shadow dynamics and access new ways of engaging them. The workshop may culminate in the creation of a two-sided mixed-media art piece, offering a tangible expression of both strength and shadow, though alternative creative explorations may be used depending on the flow of the group.
