This presentation will present a metaphorical approach to trauma using mythology and the Grail Legend materials, and Jungian concepts. “once upon a time...and a long time ago...the Grail legends relied heavily upon the allegorical gore and tales of “the Hag”, she who induces shame and fear...sometimes known as the Hideous Damsel, Dame Ragnell, Cundrie, or the Lady on the Mule. This session will begin with a discussion of the importance of myths and fairytales as an expression of the collective unconscious, and what this tells us about human development.
